First of all, let\u2019s have a look at two sentences as example.<\/p>\r\n

Mai nichi 9ji kara 5ji made benkyou shimasu.
Every day I study from 9 o\u2019clock to 5 o\u2019clock.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

In this example, the sentence tells us that the student studies the entire time between 9 and 5. As you can see from this example, \u201cMADE\u201d is used as something that \u201ccontinue\u201d, in case of an action that lasts for a certain duration.<\/p>\r\n

So how about \u201cMADE NI\u201d?<\/p>\r\n

\r\n

Ashita made ni rep\u014dto wo dashite kudasai.
Please submit your report by tomorrow.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

This time it doesn\u2019t mean \u201call the time until tomorrow\u201d.
It means that you can submit the report by tomorrow, if you can send it before tomorrow it is fine.<\/p>\r\n

Have a look at the verbs that follow.
After \u201cMADE\u201d, we usually find verbs like \u300cbenkyou suru\u300dor\u300cneru\u300d,\u300cyasumu\u300d,\u300chataraku\u300dor\u300cmatsu\u300d, verbs that continue for a particular amount of time.
But in the case of \u201cMADE NI\u201d, we use verbs that don\u2019t require much time, for short actions such as\u300cdasu\u300dor\u300ckaesu\u300d,\u300ctsuku\u300d,\u300cowaru\u300d.
Picture in your mind the image of \u201ca deadline\u201d, something to do before, by that time.<\/p>\r\n

…And don\u2019t forget to do the things you have to do by tomorrow (tomorrow MADE NI)! ?<\/p>\r\n
